Setting our Sights to the Future as we look Forward to Moving into a Bigger Location!

The Martial Arts History Museum is the first of its kind in the world. It is a place of learning, a place of inspiring, a place of history and a place that represents our future by remembering its past. Founded in 1999 by Michael Matsuda, the museum is proud to celebrate its 18th year.

Residing in the great city of Burbank, CA, we are experiencing growing pains. Our 2,000 square foot facility is no longer big enough to accommodate the many requests when have from the local schools for education tours for the kids. We are currently looking for a larger location, within the city of Burbank, that will enable busloads of kids to tour the museum everyday.

We call upon the community of the county of Los Angeles and around the world, to assist us in raising enough funds to relocate to an 8 to 10,000 square foot facility. The museum reflects the hopes and dreams of so many who have sacrificed so much for the martial arts and bringing Asian culture to America. Don’t let those dreams die. It is only through your generosity that will help us relocate the museum.

We encourage you to make a donation to this great cause. As a non-profit 501c3, your donations are tax-deductible. We also encourage you to contact our Burbank Mayor Will Rogers, Vice-Mayor Emily Gabel-Luddy, councilpersons Bob Frutos, Jess Talamantes and Sharon Springer to encourage them to help find a larger location for the museum in the great city of Burbank.

Through the new location, we will be able to:
1. Create a 200-seat theater for movie premieres, cultural performances, lectures, book readings and more.
2. Establish a large Museum Store with many unique items of different cultures
3. Provide a small coffee shop for visitors
4. Create an exhibit section which can be rotated on a continual basis
5. Bring in 2,000 kids per day for tours from the LA, Burbank, Glendale and other school districts

We are the “ONLY CULTURAL FACILITY” in the entire city of Burbank and extending our reach to other cultures is very important.

So, join us today and create something amazing, help the museum grow to a larger facility. Make a donation today and help Impact Our Future!
